USY is a Jewish youth group for high-schoolers from synagogues Beth El-Keser Israel (BEKI) & B’nai Jacob (BJ). We also welcome kids from JHSC, JHSC, other congregations, and unaffiliated families all over the Greater New Haven area.
When you join BEKI-BJ USY, you get invited to the members-only USY events, as well as discounts on some of the events open to all high-schoolers. In addition, membership allows you to attend the events of our regional group, called Hanefesh, which comprises USY chapters from all over Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
What you give with USY Membership ...
Membership dues go directly to offsetting the costs for our local and regional events and activities. Sometimes, this may be mean that we can all go out for pizza. Other times, this may mean that we can pay for our tiqun 'olam projects. Either way, USY membership allows us all to help build connections and friendships within our own Jewish community and beyond.
